What We Do With Vacation Home Floors
USA Epoxy Floors has offered vacation home flooring solutions in Orange, CT to homeowners, landlords, and property managers for over 25 years, including surface preparation, epoxy floor installation, concrete repairs, and polished concrete. Our work supports garages, basements, patios, kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, living areas, walkways, and entry points for vacation homes as they go through seasonal guest stays, weather-related wear, and periods of low or high use.
Vacation home floors encounter downtime between visits, followed by stretches of concentrated activity, subjecting them to different wear patterns than full-time residences. Garages may alternate between long-term vehicle storage and frequent guest use. Basements need reliable protection against humidity and water intrusion. Patios and walkways must tolerate seasonal weather and ground shifts. Kitchens, bathrooms, and communal living spaces must stay durable for hosting, resist staining, and handle frequent cleaning during peak times.
In Orange, our process begins with evaluating the existing concrete, performing crack and joint repairs, and correcting moisture problems before applying any epoxy, polished, or stained finish. System selection depends on room and function: abrasion resistance goes into garages, moisture-resistant assemblies are used in basements, slip-resistant options in bathrooms, and decorative yet durable finishes for all high-traffic or guest-facing areas. Our experience with installation, repair, and restoration in Orange provides vacation home properties with floors that are simple to maintain, robust against wear, and always ready for owners and guests.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Vacation Home floor coating available in Orange?
Yes — Orange and communities throughout New Haven County, CT. USA Epoxy Floors has been coating floors since 2001 and regularly takes Vacation Home projects across the region.
Which system fits a Vacation Home?
It follows the conditions. Epoxy builds thicker and bonds deep, polyaspartic cures fast and holds color under UV. Heavier-duty Vacation Home floors often run a thicker epoxy base with a chemical-resistant topcoat. Specification comes after the floor is seen and tested.
Will the floor stand up to the traffic in a Vacation Home?
That is what the specification is for. Forklift traffic, vehicle loads, foot traffic, and point impact all inform the build. A floor that was properly profiled and correctly specified handles the demands of the space for years with routine cleaning.
What about chemical exposure and cleaning?
Topcoat chemistry is selected against what actually contacts the floor — solvents, oils, food acids, cleaning agents. In Vacation Home spaces with regular chemical contact or wash-down cycles, the system is built for it rather than adapted afterward.
Can existing Vacation Home floors be redone?
Usually. Failed coatings are removed mechanically, the slab is inspected to determine why the prior system let go, and the cause is addressed before a new build goes on. Coating over a failure without finding the cause repeats it.

"4 other contractors showed up, did their pitch, and then had to "go back to the office to prepare a quote" - 2 of them never responded and the other two estimates seemed high - George on the other hand showed up, gave me my options and provided a written quote right on the spot that was about 15% less than the other quotes and went on to do a superb job on my garage floor. I would recommend him highly!"

"We are so happy to have discovered George Tsinias. He is an old school artisan and gentleman who takes pride in his work, takes every issue seriously, answers every question, and is a meticulous workman. The garage floor he did for us is stunning. He is humble, fun, courteous, friendly, extremely knowledgeable about adjacent trades and competent in several of them. I am delighted to give him the highest recommendation and look forward to referring him to friends and to using him again."

"When we called George to give us an estimate on our basement , we knew he was the right guy. He did such a good job in a basement. Then we had him do our two garages. He will never leave a job unless the customer is 100% satisfied. He takes pride in his work. He is a GREAT person to deal with and very responsive and very reasonable."
