What We Do With Vacation Home Floors
USA Epoxy Floors has provided vacation home flooring solutions in Lakeville, CT for property owners, landlords, and seasonal asset managers, including concrete repair, surface preparation, epoxy coatings, and polished concrete, for over 25 years. Work spans garages, basements, patios, kitchens, walkways, bathrooms, and gathering spaces where floors experience cycles of vacancy, occupancy, and environmental change.
Vacation homes require floors able to tolerate wide fluctuations—long periods without use may invite moisture, odors, or temperature extremes, while during active periods, floors take on increased guest traffic, messes, and rapid turnovers. Garages and basements depend on tough, moisture-handling materials; patios and paths need resistance to sun, rain, or freeze-thaw cycles; kitchens, baths, and living areas need surfaces simple to clean and ready for each new arrival or group of guests.
Our process for vacation home floors begins with reviewing the condition of the concrete, looking for deterioration, existing coating issues, and the history of use in each area. We mechanically remove failed surfaces, repair cracks, test for moisture, and select appropriate prep for changing conditions. System choices reflect both exposure and expected use—high-impact options for garages, slip-resistant choices for kitchen and bath, weather-ready solutions for outdoor spaces. By combining solid prep, targeted installation, and restoration as needed, we help vacation homes in Lakeville stand up to variable use and shifting seasons.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does USA Epoxy Floors work on Vacation Home properties near Lakeville?
Yes. Vacation Home floor work runs throughout Lakeville and Litchfield County. USA Epoxy Floors is based in Fishkill, family operated and veteran owned, and travels across the region for projects of this kind.
Is slip resistance addressed?
It is specified deliberately. Broadcast flake and quartz add texture, and anti-slip additives can go into the topcoat where the operation calls for it. The level is set against how the Vacation Home is actually used, including wet areas and wash-down zones.
What happens if the slab has moisture issues?
Moisture vapor rising through concrete lifts coatings that were not built for it — a frequent problem in older Vacation Home buildings. Slabs are tested where conditions warrant, and a moisture-mitigating primer or vapor barrier system is specified where readings call for it.
Can installation happen in cold weather?
Often. Polyaspartic and polyurea cure across a wider temperature range than standard epoxy, which makes cold-weather work viable in many unheated Vacation Home spaces around Lakeville. Substrate temperature is checked before the job is scheduled.
How is the space prepared before work starts?
The floor area needs to be clear — equipment, stock, and vehicles moved out of the sections being coated. For a working Vacation Home, the sequence is planned so the disruption is contained to one area at a time wherever the layout allows.
Who runs the project?
Owner George Tsinias. He estimates, works the floor, and handles the final walkthrough on every job, running since 2001. Call or text (845) 464-2539 for a Vacation Home project in Lakeville.
"4 other contractors showed up, did their pitch, and then had to "go back to the office to prepare a quote" - 2 of them never responded and the other two estimates seemed high - George on the other hand showed up, gave me my options and provided a written quote right on the spot that was about 15% less than the other quotes and went on to do a superb job on my garage floor. I would recommend him highly!"

"We are so happy to have discovered George Tsinias. He is an old school artisan and gentleman who takes pride in his work, takes every issue seriously, answers every question, and is a meticulous workman. The garage floor he did for us is stunning. He is humble, fun, courteous, friendly, extremely knowledgeable about adjacent trades and competent in several of them. I am delighted to give him the highest recommendation and look forward to referring him to friends and to using him again."

"When we called George to give us an estimate on our basement , we knew he was the right guy. He did such a good job in a basement. Then we had him do our two garages. He will never leave a job unless the customer is 100% satisfied. He takes pride in his work. He is a GREAT person to deal with and very responsive and very reasonable."
