What We Do With School Floors
USA Epoxy Floors has provided school flooring solutions in Northfield, MA for administrators, facility managers, and property managers, including surface preparation, crack and joint repair, coating removal, epoxy floor installation, polished concrete finishes, and restoration, for over 25 years. Our services span classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, gymnasiums, restrooms, locker rooms, lobbies, and storage areas—everywhere durable and cleanable surfaces are needed.
Schools require flooring that can endure constant student foot traffic, rolling desks and equipment, frequent furniture moves, and regular cleaning. Areas like cafeterias and restrooms are challenged by spills and moisture, while corridors and classrooms must resist scuffs, marks, and other signs of use. Gymnasiums and locker rooms need finishes that deal with both impact and hygiene.
Our experience with installation, repair, and restoration in Northfield helps us handle everything from mechanical concrete prep and evaluating slab condition to performing repairs, moisture checks, and choosing the right systems for each area. We install resinous and slip-resistant coatings, polished concrete, and durable finish options matched to school needs. Long-term repair and maintenance options let us resolve floor problems in both new buildings and older schools.
Epoxy Floor Resurfacing
In Northfield, USA Epoxy Floors resurfaces worn or failing epoxy floors by mechanically removing loose coating, grinding to open the profile, and installing a new resin system. This preserves what’s solid and replaces only what’s needed, making the floor clean and durable again.
Concrete Polishing
USA Epoxy Floors uses a stepwise diamond grinding and polishing process to convert Northfield concrete into a refined, dense surface. All repairs to cracks or imperfections are handled prior to polishing for a flawless result. Finished floors in Northfield benefit from reduced dusting, easy cleaning, and the chosen level of reflectivity.
Solid Color Epoxy Floor Installation
USA Epoxy Floors installs solid color epoxy floors in Northfield by integrating moisture-tested, diamond-ground preparation with layered pigmented resin for consistent color and strength. The finished result is a seamless, stain- and chemical-resistant surface, supporting all property types in Northfield.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does USA Epoxy Floors work on School properties near Northfield?
Yes. School floor work runs throughout Northfield and Franklin County. USA Epoxy Floors is based in Fishkill, family operated and veteran owned, and travels across the region for projects of this kind.
Is slip resistance addressed?
It is specified deliberately. Broadcast flake and quartz add texture, and anti-slip additives can go into the topcoat where the operation calls for it. The level is set against how the School is actually used, including wet areas and wash-down zones.
What happens if the slab has moisture issues?
Moisture vapor rising through concrete lifts coatings that were not built for it — a frequent problem in older School buildings. Slabs are tested where conditions warrant, and a moisture-mitigating primer or vapor barrier system is specified where readings call for it.
Can installation happen in cold weather?
Often. Polyaspartic and polyurea cure across a wider temperature range than standard epoxy, which makes cold-weather work viable in many unheated School spaces around Northfield. Substrate temperature is checked before the job is scheduled.
How is the space prepared before work starts?
The floor area needs to be clear — equipment, stock, and vehicles moved out of the sections being coated. For a working School, the sequence is planned so the disruption is contained to one area at a time wherever the layout allows.
Who runs the project?
Owner George Tsinias. He estimates, works the floor, and handles the final walkthrough on every job, running since 2001. Call or text (845) 464-2539 for a School project in Northfield.
What Our Clients Say about us..
"4 other contractors showed up, did their pitch, and then had to "go back to the office to prepare a quote" - 2 of them never responded and the other two estimates seemed high - George on the other hand showed up, gave me my options and provided a written quote right on the spot that was about 15% less than the other quotes and went on to do a superb job on my garage floor. I would recommend him highly!"

"We are so happy to have discovered George Tsinias. He is an old school artisan and gentleman who takes pride in his work, takes every issue seriously, answers every question, and is a meticulous workman. The garage floor he did for us is stunning. He is humble, fun, courteous, friendly, extremely knowledgeable about adjacent trades and competent in several of them. I am delighted to give him the highest recommendation and look forward to referring him to friends and to using him again."
