What We Do With Kitchen Floors
USA Epoxy Floors has provided kitchen flooring solutions in Leverett, MA for homeowners and commercial property owners, including surface preparation, resinous coating installation, repairs, and coating removal, for over 25 years. Every project in Leverett involves mechanical grinding or shot blasting, concrete crack and joint repair, moisture checks, stripping away damaged finishes, and installing resinous floor coatings to meet food service requirements.
Kitchens must contend with grease spills, cleaning agents, food acids, heavy rolling equipment, and frequent sanitation cycles. Durable, seamless, and easily sanitized floors are necessary in these environments, with slip-resistant textures and integral cove bases to help prevent bacteria hiding in corners and make cleaning efficient. Food preparation areas are also subject to local health and safety codes, making chemical and thermal resistance critical.

By emphasizing concrete surface preparation, selecting slip-resistant and non-porous resinous systems, and restoring worn or previously coated floors, USA Epoxy Floors ensures kitchens in Leverett stay safe, easy to maintain, and ready for daily operation—meeting high standards for hygiene, appearance, and durability across residential and commercial kitchens.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Kitchen coating available in Leverett?
Yes — throughout Leverett and the surrounding Hampshire County, MA area. USA Epoxy Floors has been coating floors since 2001 and handles Kitchen work regularly across the region.
Which coating system suits a Kitchen?
That follows from the conditions. Epoxy builds thicker and bonds deeply; polyaspartic cures faster, installs across a wider temperature range, and resists UV yellowing. Many Kitchen floors run an epoxy base with a polyaspartic topcoat. The slab inspection determines it.
What about moisture in a Kitchen?
Moisture vapor moving up through concrete lifts coatings that were not specified for it. Where a Kitchen shows signs of dampness, the slab gets tested before a system is selected, and a moisture-mitigating primer or vapor barrier build goes in where readings call for it.
What finishes work well for a Kitchen?
Solid colors, decorative flake, quartz, and metallic systems are all options. Flake broadcast adds texture underfoot and hides minor slab imperfections, which suits high-traffic areas. Samples are reviewed during the walkthrough against the actual space.
Does the area need to be emptied?
Yes. The floor has to be clear for grinding and application, so anything stored in the Kitchen moves out before work begins. On larger spaces the job can often be staged in sections.

"4 other contractors showed up, did their pitch, and then had to "go back to the office to prepare a quote" - 2 of them never responded and the other two estimates seemed high - George on the other hand showed up, gave me my options and provided a written quote right on the spot that was about 15% less than the other quotes and went on to do a superb job on my garage floor. I would recommend him highly!"

"We are so happy to have discovered George Tsinias. He is an old school artisan and gentleman who takes pride in his work, takes every issue seriously, answers every question, and is a meticulous workman. The garage floor he did for us is stunning. He is humble, fun, courteous, friendly, extremely knowledgeable about adjacent trades and competent in several of them. I am delighted to give him the highest recommendation and look forward to referring him to friends and to using him again."
