USA EPOXY FLOORS
Epoxy Floor Recoating in Middlebury, CT
USA Epoxy Floors restores worn resin floors in Middlebury by inspecting the existing surface, correcting defects, and mechanically abrading before applying a new resin layer. Each recoat is chosen for compatibility, leading to a uniform, reinforced finish that outlasts basic overcoats.
Why Choose Us
Recoating in Middlebury starts with a floor inspection for bond issues, moisture conditions typical in New Haven County, and evidence of prior coating damage or wear. George Tsinias assesses whether surfaces qualify for recoat or need more intensive restoration, checking chemical compatibility throughout. / Using diamond grinding or abrasive screening, USA Epoxy Floors brings the profile to what the next system requires—normally CSP-2 or CSP-3 for most recoat installations. Cracks, previous patchwork, and weak sections are remediated, and non-bonding parts are removed to bare concrete when needed. After preparation, industrial vacuums are used to clear dust for a contaminant-free work surface. / The new resin layer, selected from epoxy, polyaspartic, or urethane, is installed to match the original system or upgraded as conditions demand. The finished floor undergoes a full visual and adhesion inspection before use, leaving Middlebury properties with renewed, robust flooring built for everyday stress.
Detailed Floor Checks Precede Every Recoat in Middlebury
George Tsinias checks adhesive strength, chemical resilience, and existing wear on every Middlebury floor before recommending a recoat. Confirming real compatibility prevents further expense and avoids premature failures. Only qualified floors proceed to recoating, protecting the structure and investment for Middlebury clients.
Advanced Mechanical Prep in Middlebury for Lasting Bond
USA Epoxy Floors relies on diamond grinding or screening to establish the CSP needed for new resin attachment in Middlebury. Thorough abrasion enables improved adhesion and bond strength, countering failures traced to shortcuts like acid etching or incomplete prep. The right surface ensures a longer-lasting, defect-resistant installation.
Resin System Selection Matched to Middlebury Needs
Recoating in Middlebury is based on the original system and design goals. George selects among epoxy, polyaspartic, and urethane, calibrating for use conditions and finish requirements. This results in floors that look refreshed and stand up to daily work or foot traffic throughout New Haven County.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer Epoxy Floor Recoating in Middlebury?
Yes. USA Epoxy Floors handles Epoxy Floor Recoating throughout Middlebury and the surrounding New Haven County area. The scope is set after the floor is walked and the slab condition is assessed, so the quote reflects the actual job rather than a generic package.
What is involved in Epoxy Floor Recoating?
Work starts with inspecting the slab and testing for moisture where conditions call for it. The surface is mechanically prepared by diamond grinding or shot blasting, damage is repaired, and the coating system is applied in sequence with cure time between coats. The floor is walked through with you at completion.
How long does Epoxy Floor Recoating take in Middlebury?
Most residential-scale work is a one to two day install with cure time before the floor takes traffic. Larger floors and slabs needing significant repair run longer. Polyaspartic topcoats shorten the return to service. Timing specific to your floor is covered at the estimate.
Is my floor a candidate for Epoxy Floor Recoating?
Most structurally sound concrete is. Cracks, pitting, spalling, and existing coatings are handled during preparation. Slabs with active moisture movement are tested first and specified accordingly. If a floor is not a good candidate, you will be told that during the walkthrough.
What kind of preparation does the concrete need?
Mechanical profiling — diamond grinding or shot blasting — so the coating keys into the concrete rather than resting on it. This is the step that determines whether a floor holds. Acid etching alone does not produce a reliable profile and is not used in place of it.
How do I schedule Epoxy Floor Recoating in Middlebury?
Call or text (845) 464-2539, or use the estimate form. Owner George Tsinias handles the walkthrough and estimate personally in Middlebury, and is on site during the work.
What Our Clients Say about us..
"4 other contractors showed up, did their pitch, and then had to "go back to the office to prepare a quote" - 2 of them never responded and the other two estimates seemed high - George on the other hand showed up, gave me my options and provided a written quote right on the spot that was about 15% less than the other quotes and went on to do a superb job on my garage floor. I would recommend him highly!"

He is an old school artisan and gentleman who takes pride in his work, takes every issue seriously, answers every question, and is a meticulous workman. The garage floor he did for us is stunning. He is humble, fun, courteous, friendly, extremely knowledgeable about adjacent trades and competent in several of them. I am delighted to give him the highest recommendation and look forward to referring him to friends and to using him again."
